There will be 1 entrance open at one end of the venue for Registration. There will be 2 lines and MANY registration assistants scanning tickets. SET-UP OF TABLES
This year’s Le Dîner à San Francisco is even bigger and more amazing than last year …. much bigger!! So in order to be able to make room for everyone at the party, we need to make use of the tables that are provided as efficiently and congenially as possible.
So we ask the following:
- When you arrive, go to the section that you would like to sit in and tell the section organizer how many people you have in your party. The section organizers will show you tables that will accommodate your party, and in some cases depending on the size of your party, these tables will also have other guests sitting at them. Our tables are 8 feet long, and accommodate 8 people.
- If you see small groups of people (2s and 4s) that are table-less, and you have extra space at your table, please ask them to sit with your group … this is the only way we will be able to seat everyone, and we THANK YOU for this spirit!
White attire is de rigueur! We encourage you to dress in white, elegant fashion from any era; with hats, accessories and creative attire that expresses your own appreciation for style, fashion and beauty. Accessories and shoes need not be white, as long as the overall effect of your outfit is white! (Hint – There will be a fashion show “competition”!)
TABLES AND CHAIRS
We will be providing tables and guests will provide their chairs and white tablecloths. The tables will be 8′ long x 30″ and will be set-up in continuous rows – so bring the size tablecloth that will cover the table area for you and your guests. White chairs would be nice, but not mandatory – please no nylon camping chairs.
There will be a limited number of chairs available to rent at the site, and we will soon make an announcement on FB about this!!
LA BELLE TABLE
Once set, each table at the event is an elegant, beautiful place to dine! Get creative as you wish – we would love to see real silverware, candleabras, candlesticks, vases of flowers and whatever else expresses your vision. This is your elegant dinner party for your guests within this grand event – have fun! This year, candles are allowed!
This event is meant to inspire the master chefs inside us all! We suggest you and your guests prepare three courses for this event. Pack hors d’oeurves, an entrée, and a special dessert for your party. And, yes, as with any great dining experience, wine, champagne and beer may be enjoyed with your meal. We do, however, ask that you limit wine/ champagne to one bottle per person.
LEAVE NO TRACE
At Registration, you will be given a white trash bags for your waste. PLEASE do what you can to dispose of waste in the trash receptacles and leave the space clean! PLEASE take as much trash as you can with you at the end of the night and dispose of this at home – we will have LIMITED trash facilities available at the site.
Part of the magic of this event is that it gathers so many friends yet leaves no trace at the end of the evening!!
Le Dîner should be fun and welcoming for all of our guests, and because of the nature of this event, we respectfully ask for polite behavior and genteel manners to dominate this very special evening from beginning to end. This event will include a large amount of people and it is necessary that everyone respect the beautiful space we have received very special permission to gather in and also your fellow guests.
While guests are unified in the spirit of the event, the way guests choose to celebrate and experience Le Dîner à San Francisco will be of their own design. It is the hope of the Le Dîner team that the evening will be one of creativity, spontaneity, and magic! If you have any questions, please feel free to post them on our Facebook or email us a “email@example.com”.
